James Connolly
With more than 30 years of experience in both public and private accounting, James has found that one of the most rewarding parts of his work is getting to know the people behind the numbers. He works with individuals, families, and small business owners, helping them navigate tax and accounting matters and make informed financial decisions with confidence.
James' experience spans the day-to-day needs of closely held businesses as well as more specialized matters involving partnerships, ownership changes, Section 754 elections, hedge fund K-1s, and complex individual tax reporting. He doesn't believe clients should have to be tax experts to receive good advice. His role is to understand the details, explain what matters in clear terms, remain responsive, and anticipate potential issues before they become problems. He strives to provide practical guidance that helps his clients make sound decisions and stay out of the crosshairs of the IRS.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, being involved in his church, playing golf, researching genealogy, and traveling. He enjoys getting to know people, exploring new places, and digging into his family history-interests that reflect the same curiosity, attention to detail, and genuine interest in people that he brings to his work.
